Dean has been practising almost exclusively in criminal law for over 12 years. The founder of Peninsula Criminal Law in 2010, before that firm’s incorporation into Stewart Burr and Mayr Lawyers, Dean has worked as a defence lawyer in private practice and the community sector (NSW/ACT Aboriginal Legal Service), as well as being a Senior Lawyer at the Commonwealth DPP prosecuting Federal offences.
Dean has extensive experience in dealing with the full gambit of criminal matters from traffic matters through to major drug importations, arson, serious assaults including attempted murder, major frauds, serious sexual assaults including rapes, aggravated burglaries and robberies, white collar and cyber/ computer crime including child pornography and grooming offences.
Discretion is a key focus of Dean’s method of practice. Getting your face on the evening news may benefit your lawyer’s practice, but it is rarely going to help your case or your future prospects.
